Game is not only for kids. To prove it - on 22nd-30th September in Tartu county recreational sports centre, Estonia took place youth exchange "Let's play!". This international Erasmus+ project brought together young people from Czech Republic, Croatia, Turkey, Latvia and Estonia to learn through games.
Experiential learning is a powerful way to address
individual growth and potential. The word experiential essentially means that
learning and development are achieved through personally determined experience
and involvement, rather than on received teaching or training. This project is
about learning by doing and gaining experiences from games.
Aim of the project is
to develop a skill
... to learn via games
… to reflect the
learning outcomes from games and to use them in reality!
To reach this goal, each participant will bring one
game to youth exchange to share it with others. Games which are shared belong
to five categories: team-building games, board games, role-play games,
impro-games and adventure-games.
Let’s play is about five types of
games. Every national team has
opportunity to teach one from each type of game to the others. All together we are going to
learn and analyse 25 different games during this project and all these games with possible ways of reflection will be posted in this blog!
