TYPE: board game

AIM: The aim of this game is for participants to develop strategic planning skills to outsmart their opponent with good tactics and decision making, while also having fun. As a result this game can really give you a brain workout and is a great  way to help younger players start thinking like astrategist.

PARTICIPANTS WILL GAIN:
.... VALUES: competitive spirit
.... SKILLS: strategic thinking and planning
... KNOWLEDGE: rules of the game, different ways of playing and winning

DESCRIPTION OF THE GAME:

Before the game:
For two players you need a piece of paper, a pen, 26 beans and 2 buttons (or something to replace it). To start the game you need to draw the game picture on which you put the beans and buttons like showed on this picture:

Instructions:
Beans are sheeps and buttons are wolves. Sheeps always make the first move. Both sheep and wolves can only move from one point to the next one across the line. Wolves can also jump over the point where sheep is only if the next point is empty.
In this case wolf eats the sheep and the sheep is out of the game.
Game is over when sheeps are on the opposite side or when the wolves can't make any more moves.

REFLECTION:
Everyone who played the game enjoyed it, and one of the things they liked the most was that it can be played in many different ways, and is very cheap and easy to make. Some of the participants loved this game so much that they decided to play it again in their rooms on the same evening.

EXTRA NOTES:
The name of this game reminds us of nature, fairy tales and old times. This board game is very old, cheap and easy to play.
It was played in times when you couldn't buy board games like Monopoly or Pictionary like you can buy today, so children would play with things they could find around them. It would be nice to keep this game alive.
